CrossFit Kids is not simply a scaled down version of CrossFit, it is entirely CrossFit geared and designed for a special population and the specific developmental needs of that population, (neurological, cognitive, motor).
Since late 2004, CrossFit Kids has been Forging The Future Of Fitness and is currently in over 1,200 gyms in North America, Australia, Europe, Africa, India, Japan and Panama. CrossFit Kids is a strength and conditioning program that is specifically designed for kids and teenagers and helps them develop a lifelong love of fitness. In a group setting, children and teens participate in fun and engaging workouts that deliver measurable results and prepare them to be well-rounded athletes. All workouts consist of constantly varied, functional movements that deliver a fitness that is broad, inclusive and general and scaleable for any participant at any level.
This means that, for the most part, no two workouts are the same, so kids and teens never get bored and the novelty of each workout keeps them excited about participating.
The functional movements involve exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids need to do when they play-pull, push, run, throw, climb, lift and jump.
Our WOD's will increase physical competence in 10 fitness domains: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.
This program is designed for children between the ages of 5-9. Focusing on coordination, balance, agility, and of course fun!
This program is designed for children/pre-teens from the ages of 10+. Our focus is to develop proper movement patterns and mechanics for performing all CrossFit movements. We address gross and fine motor
movements as well as cardiovascular endurance.
Junior Varsity (Intermediate Advanced)
Our Jr. Varsity program is an 8 or 9 week program geared towards all aspects of fitness, with direct focus on Intermediate athletes in mind.
This program is a highly beneficial and proven method to learn and refine functional movements in order to build a strong foundation of healthy habits as well as introduce young athletes to skills, strength and
conditioning that will transfer to any sport and day to day life.
- Tuesday's & Thursday's at 7:00pm for 8-9 weeks.
- Ages 13-16. program cap 12 athletes. our focus is the athletes. Therefore ensuring a specific athlete to coach ratio is important for coaching and attention to each individual.
New to CrossFit?
No problem! Your program will be 9 weeks (extra 2 classes) with the first week being our fundamentals program. This program introduces athletes to all of the necessary movements they will be building on
throughout this program.
