What was your fitness background before CrossFit?
Never went to the gym, just played a lot of pickup sports in Spring/Summer.

How long have you been doing CrossFit? What was your first WOD, do you remember?
It has almost been four months since I have started CrossFit. I can't remember exactly what my first WOD was, but I do remember there was an absurd amount of burpees. I specifically remember Justin chuckling at the fact my first WOD was a really tough one haha. But I'm happy I came back!

How has CrossFit changed your life?
How has it imporved your mental and/or physical wellbeing?
CrossFit has changed my life for the better in many ways. CrossFit has helped me lose over 50lbs. I have energy that I never had before. Definitely stronger and more agile. I was surprised at how much easier my work days go as my work is pretty physical. I feel a lot more confident, not even just the fact that I have lost weight, it's the fact that CrossFit has made me a stronger and healthier person.

What are your goals in the next 3-6 months?
My goals for the next 3-6 months is to crack the elusive double under, take shorter rest times and lose another 30lbs.

What do you love about CrossFit St. Catharines? Share one of your favourite moments with us. 
What do I love about CrossFit St. Catharines? In one word it would be Community. I absolutely love each and every person at CrossFit St. Catharines, I believe I wouldn't have got this far if it wasn't for the people who kept pushing and encouraging me when I wanted to quit. Also I love how there is a level of accountability, you have people asking how you're doing with your goals and most importantly if you're reaching them. One of my favourite moments at CrossFit St. Catharines happens to repeat itself quite often. Whenever the WOD says "for time" I know that there is a good chance I will be the last one finished. It never fails ,there will be two or three people, sometimes even the whole class that will finish the WOD with me even when I'm past the time cap. They just finished busting their butts on their workout and they care enough to finish the workout with me to the very last rep. I appreciate everyone at CrossFit St. Catharines, all the members and all the awesome coaches. CrossFit St. Catharines has change my life for the better and I really do recommend it. Nothing beats the amazing community of people and the ass kicking workouts. I love CrossFit St. Catharines!
